J0746: Biomarker blood test to detect the recurrence of colorectal cancer

This study is testing patients with stage I, II or III colorectal after surgery for markers in their blood that might predict if your tumor will come back.  This study is for patients with colorectal cancer to test within the 1st week of therapy, whether they will respond or not.

Summary:  This is a correlative study that will examine blood samples from patients with colorectal cancer.  The purpose is to find biomarkers for better screening and possibly to see which markers respond better to certain chemotherapy drugs.  These samples can be used in order to help make a difference for future generations with colon cancer.
